Angel At Sunrise

$10.00

On Easter Sunday morning, an angel appears and begins to describe their experience being a messenger of God and being present at very important moments in the life of Christ. They describe what it was like at the birth, temptation, death and resurrection of Christ.

This is somewhat based on information that we may have learned about angels, and is also taking much freedom and imagination into play to create an emotional monologue.

One actor. About 5 minutes. Addional and optional dialogue added to make it longer.

Excerpt:

Good morning!  It’s a wonderful day!  A day that we can all rejoice over!  I’m a messenger of God and I have been sent here to give a very exciting message.  Before I do that I wanted to share some of the other things I have been privileged to witness concerning Jesus Christ.  For us in heaven, we all love Him and serve Him with all that we are.  We love Jesus as we love the Father for Jesus is the exact representation of the Father.

We were all very excited when He became human, and was born that night in Bethlehem.  I was there.  I was so thrilled to be part of that heavenly host.  You see, Gabriel was the one who took the news to Mary and told her she would be the mother.  He is a high ranking angel, but we all get to watch. It was all so very exciting!  We all appeared to those shepherds on that hillside that night.  They were so frightened!  It must have been quite a sight since we filled the entire sky!  We were praising God.  We do that all the time.  That is our full time job, unless we are out on a mission. But when we allow people on earth to see us… well that gets very entertaining!  You just never know how they will react. Sometimes they faint, sometimes they run and hide and sometimes they fall down on their faces.  I never get tired of seeing that! …

I can’t thank you enough for writing the perfect script for ME! This year’s Easter Sunrise was absolutely the most beautiful I have ever seen. We gathered around the crosses in front of the church. The sunrise was spectacular! I sat on a “rock” with the sun behind me. My wings and costume were shimmering. The congregation was definitely moved by the monologue. I saw many tears. Even me. I cried every time I rehearsed. Overall, I have only heard positive comments. Thank you for the time, effort, and price break to make “Angel at Sunrise”. I hope you are as proud of it as I am.
