Excerpt:

GRANDMA
Jenny was just about to ask me an important question. Go ahead, dear.
JENNY
Well…okay. I have friends at school who don’t believe Jesus is the Son of God. But He is, right?
GRANDMA
That’s right.
JENNY
I told them that the shepherds and the wise men came to worship Him because of the angels telling them that He was God’s Son and about the Star and all that. I don’t know the story that well. I remember it when you told me.
GRANDMA
It’s in the Bible, you know. You can always read it again.
JENNY
Yeah, I guess. But my friends said that the Christmas story in the Bible is just a story. They said it’s like Santa Claus, it’s just made up by people a long time ago.
AUNT DOT
Well…sometimes people who don’t know any better will say things like that.
JENNY
But how do you know that Jesus was God’s Son? I mean besides the part about the Angels coming to Mary and to the shepherds? What do I say when they say that Jesus was just a good man? Mom says that I should just let them have their opinions and avoid religious discussions because they are always so unpleasant.
GRANDMA
Well, don’t tell your mother that I said this, but I disagree with her. I don’t think we should avoid talking about Jesus ever!
AUNT DOT
But at the same time, we also don’t want it to get unpleasant…but we do want people to know the truth and to know Him. We must make sure we do it in love. Now…have you ever heard of the prophets?
JENNY
I don’t think so.
GRANDMA
Listen to your Aunt Dot. She knows her Bible!
AUNT DOT
Well…hundreds of years before Christ was born, there were godly men who were prophesying about His birth and His life and His death. Everything they said…came true with Jesus. You may know some of their names when I mention them: Moses, Isaiah, David.
JENNY
I’ve heard of all of them! Moses parted the sea and David was a King, right? The other one I’m not sure…
GRANDMA
You remembered! Very good, Jenny. Well God spoke through these men. They wrote down what God was telling them.
AUNT DOT
These prophesies about the coming Messiah became the focus of the Jewish people. They all believed that God was going to send them a deliverer!

SCENE THREE
LIGHTS COME UP ON OPPOSITE SIDE OF STAGE AREA
Several men enter dressed in various styles of biblical garments. The lines of scripture can be read from scrolls if you don’t want to memorize all of them.
MOSES
Here we are again gentlemen, for a meeting of the Prophet’s Council.
MICAH
I would like to discuss the prophecies of the coming Messiah. Many of us wrote down those things that we received from the Lord. Moses, tell us what God spoke through you.
MOSES
He told me of His words to Abraham. Well, Abram…then.
Now the LORD said to Abram, “Go forth from your country, And from your relatives And from your father’s house, To the land which I will show you; I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And so you shall be a blessing; I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.”
MICAH
Clearly, that speaks of the coming Messiah. The seed of Abraham…his offspring…who was going to come and all the families would be blessed through Him.
MOSES
Micah, tell us what message you were given from God.
MICAH
“But as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Too little to be among the clans of Judah, From you One will go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel. His goings forth are from long ago, from the days of eternity.”
MOSES
The Messiah, a ruler in Israel, coming out of Bethlehem. Isaiah, please share with us those wonderful words that you prophesied.
ISAIAH
Gladly. “Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.

I love that you are a Christian writer and appear to believe as we do….in the blood of Jesus Christ. Your script is wonderful in that it seems simple and easy to follow, as well as being bible based. Thank you so much! This is truly a blessing, and I hope that others will be able to see Christ though it. God bless you!
